About Lab

Antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) is one of the most economically important global threats, producing an annual economic impact on the global healthcare system costs ranging from non-significance to $1 billion per year, whilst the economic burden ranged from $21,832 per case to over $3 trillion in GDP loss. At the national level in India, per case, economic loss due to AMR ranges from USD 912 to $1400. The damaging effects of antibiotic resistance are already manifesting themselves across the world. Antibiotic-resistant infections currently claim at least 50,000 lives each year across Europe and the US alone, with many hundreds of thousands more dying in other areas of the world.
